Press Release
Research Council of the Velocity Interoperability Network Established
Office of the Spokesperson

The Research Council of the Velocity Interoperability Network has been formally established. The Council is responsible for research programmes and research integrity across the Network: it funds research carried out by member organisations, administers the awards made under its programmes, and sets and upholds the standards of research integrity that apply to all research it funds.
The Council consists of a Chair and eight members drawn from the member organisations of the Network, supported by a Secretariat and three offices: the Programmes Office, the Awards Office and the Integrity Office. Its offices are at Eastfield Campus, and its work is carried out at the principal sites of the Network where funded research is hosted.
With its establishment complete, the Council today launches its official website at research.gov.vin. The site carries press releases and official statements, the register of funded programmes and awards, guidance for applicants, the Council's open research requirements and its standards of research integrity.
The Council's first round of funded programmes, the opening of its first funding call and the publication of its standards of research integrity are the subject of separate announcements published today. General enquiries may be sent to contact@research.gov.vin.
